Meet R & B

My name is Rick McCurley and I’d like to welcome you to R & B Outdoors—your central Texas mud rig specialist. Having run different mud motors,” long tails” and the new “short tails,” extensively over the years, here at R & B I decided long ago to offer only the best mud motor and mud boat on the market—Mud Buddy backwater motors and Gator Trax mud boats. Aside from being the central Texas Mud Buddy and Gator Trax dealer, I also guide duck hunts on a part time basis. I am on the Pro Staff teams for Mud Buddy as well as Gator Trax in helping in the design and field testing of the new products. A labor of love I must admit. The “B” in R & B is my lab, Bart. He is now 8 years old and is my business partner, employee of the year for 8 straight years and my best friend. I am also a member of Team Green, a hunting /promotional team aimed at helping businesses/outfitters and guides market their waterfowl products and services.

I began waterfowling 28 years ago at the ripe, young age of 13 and have been hooked ever since. My passion for this sport led me to want to share it with others and I have been guiding for the past 13 years. Furthermore, I am a member of Ducks Unlimited as well as Delta Waterfowl—2 organizations that I strongly support in their efforts to keep waterfowl populations up as well as conserve as much of our wetlands as possible.
